About Me
I am an English major graduate and a passionate primary school teacher with over fifteen years of experience nurturing young minds in Singapore. Beyond teaching, I am an author who finds inspiration in my love for reading, writing, singing, playing video games, basketball, music, gardening, and connecting with nature.
My storytelling journey began with a desire to use my stories to impact children and helping them become a better version of themselves.
In 2022, I published Beware the Sunda Slow Loris and other Singaporean Fables, a collection of fables based on Singapore’s endangered animals. This book has been recognised with multiple awards and has sparked conversations about conservation and storytelling. Following its success, I recently launched The Dance of the Sambar Deer and more Singaporean Fables the second book in my fables series, which continues to explore the beauty of Singapore’s biodiversity through compelling tales.I have also been fortunate to receive recognition for my short stories, with The Legend of the Dragon Fruit & To Kill a Big Bad Wolf winning awards on Fairytalez.com.
Through my stories, I hope to ignite a love for reading in children, inspire them to pursue their passions, become a better person, and help them connect with the natural world.
